FPA 239 - Music History: The Enlightened Mind This class is directed at developing an understanding and appreciation for the development of Western concert music from the Classical period (c. 1750) through the modern era, including a study of the general principles underlying musical forms and the analysis and interpretation of these forms. Classroom use of recorded and live illustrations supplemented by required attendance at live performances. Lecture 3 Credits Offered in the Fall Semester
