The LaPenta School of Business offers a minor concentration in business to students pursuing a BA or BS degree. The business minor consists of an abbreviated business core and a concentration in one of the major areas of business: accounting, finance, management, information systems, international business, management, and marketing.
The business minor is offered to students in the School of Arts and Science by the faculty of the LaPenta School of Business in conjunction with the Departments of Economics and Mathematics.
A. 6-7 credits in Arts and Science composed of:
Mathematics (3 credits)
(One of these courses may be used to satisfy the mathematics requirement of the College core.)
In addition to the above Principles course (3 credits), the student must complete 12 credits or four courses in his/her minor concentration. These courses should be chosen from the requirements of one of the majors in the LaPenta School of Business. Due attention must be paid to prerequisites for these courses. Liberal arts and science students may not take more than 27 credits in business.
