EDU 656 - Instruction and Assessment Strategies for Learning Mathematics for All Children This course will emphasize the active hands-on, problem solving approach to teaching, learning, and assessing mathematics as stated in the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the New York State Learning Standards. Strategies that enable students to make sense of mathematics and to develop their own meaning of mathematical concepts and processes will be investigated. Field experience and Task Stream electronic portfolio are required. Lecture 3 Credits Offered When Needed
