BUS 425 - Action Learning

The Action Learning Program is a semester-long external consulting project that partners Full Time Iona Undergraduate Seniors with host companies to find real business solutions.  The Action Learning Projects (ALP) provide an opportunity to demonstrate practical knowledge of the business concepts the students have learned in your previous studies.  As a team, you will examine a selected company’s processes, and provide in-depth recommendations for necessary improvements.  These Projects are a major component of your business education.  Your assignment will be challenging, multidisciplinary, and focused on a clearly defined business process.  With guidance from the Program’s Director, and a company liaison, the team will present their findings both orally in a presentation format, as well as providing a written summary.  ALPs range in scope and focus to cover all areas of interest.  ALP companies include large companies, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurial businesses. Students will be assigned to specific teams based upon majors, career goals, background and past experience.
