ECO 647 - International Business in Southeast Asia This course will give the student the opportunity to analyze the relevance of country specific economic and cultural data in evaluating countries in Southeast Asia as locations in which to establish a business venture. After a general survey of the Southeast Asian economies and cultures, the data for select countries will be analyzed in detail with respect to their suitability for certain types of businesses. On completion of the course, the student will have more familiarity with data sources, types of data available, suggested ways of relating the data, and possible conjectures, which can be developed from the data, relevant to locating business opportunities.
