CSD 515 - Language Disorders in Children Advanced study of child language disorders, focusing on theoretical and clinical information regarding the development, assessment, and treatment of phonological, morphological, semantic, syntactic, and pragmatic disorders in children (birth through early adulthood). The impact of a range of medical and developmental conditions on communicative development will be discussed. The course will also examine multicultural issues surrounding assessment and treatment of child language disorders, and literacy and language impairment. Students will engage in the IPE foundations modules, as well as other experiential activities designed to promote the development of a speech-language pathologist who has also been prepared for competent interprofessional collaborative practice.
