BUS 210 - Statistics This course provides a foundation of statistics in a business context, introducing students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. The course covers descriptive and inferential statistics, probability, discrete and continuous random variables, estimation using confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression analysis. Students cultivate their understanding of statistics in a business context, using software to interpret the relevance of statistical findings for business problem solving and decision making. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisites: BUS 150 and either MTH 132 or MTH 134 or MTH 200 or MTH 231 Equivalent(s): MTH 270 Offered: Fall and Spring
