HS 136 - Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology I


This course is the first of a sequence of two courses that covers the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body.  In this course, basic cell biology, tissues and glands, as well as the integumentary, nervous, skeletal, muscular, and sensory systems will be covered in addition to an understanding of basic histology.  This course is specifically designed for nursing and other health science students.

Prerequisite: must be an intended nursing major or declared health/wellness major
Not open to students who have taken BIO 238  
Equivalent: BIO 136
