NUR 4100 - Nursing Care of Women and the Childbearing Family This course focuses on inclusive nursing care for women and gender-diverse populations within the family context of reproductive and childbearing cycles. An emphasis is placed on clinical judgement related to female reproductive roles, sexuality, diversity, and physiological/psychological issues. Content includes conception, pregnancy, labor and birth, postpartum care, and newborn assessment. This course integrates didactic learning with clinical exposure of birthing individuals, newborns, and families in a variety of clinical settings.
