HST 797 - Contemporary Problems in Global Civilization Emphasis will be placed on contemporary problems in the history and politics of the world’s major civilizations, including historical patterns underlying their evolution and development. Global history will be studied in its broadest definition - political, economic, social, religious, legal, intellectual, geographic, ethnic - any or all of which may be considered. This course is aimed at improving teachers’ skills in integrating comparative global studies into their classroom curricula and opportunities are provided for students to develop instructional strategies for presenting course material in a classroom setting. This course is required of all students in the MS ED (Social Studies) program. Lecture 3 Credits Required MS Ed Social Studies Majors Offered in the Fall Semester
