Iona University offers a BS degree in social work (HEGIS 2104). The program has been granted accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education.

Objectives

The major in social work provides professional preparation for employment in social work at the baccalaureate level. The National Association of Social Workers recognizes graduates of the program as entry-level professionals. The major also provides superior academic preparation for graduate studies, leading to the opportunity for advanced standing in any accredited graduate social work program.
