  • One additional Mathematics course for major credit selected from the following list in consultation with an advisor:  MTH 232, MTH 233, MTH 236, MTH 240, MTH 250, any 300 or 400 level MTH class. 3-4 Credits
  • One laboratory-based course acceptable for major credit in Biology, Chemistry or Physics to complete the sequence from the college core (such as BIO 120, BIO 225, CHM 110, PHY 202). 4-5 credits
  • Two additional courses in Biology, Chemistry or Physics acceptable for major credit (courses need not be in the same discipline). 6-10 credits

We highly recommend taking the following CS courses amoung the open electives if possible.

Index Requirements


CS 201, CS 202 and all other courses counted toward the major must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. To continue in the major, students who fail to earn a grade of “C” or better in a required course must repeat that course before taking additional courses.
