 BIO 101 - General Biology 1 Credits: 4.5 *BIO 102 - General Biology 2 Credits: 4.5 *BIO 211 - Genetics Credits: 5BIO 270 - Evolution Credits: 4BIO 450 - Seminar Credits: 2* A minimum of a C grade in  BIO 101 - General Biology 1  and  BIO 102 - General Biology 2  is required to pursue a Biology major.
 A student who does not earn a C or higher in BIO 101  and/or BIO 102  may retake the course(s) to remain a degree candidate in the major.  A student who does not earn a C or higher in the second attempt of either or both of the courses must meet with the Department Chair and the Advising Center to help the student choose a major that will lead to successful degree completion. If the student requires further assistance, the chair will refer the student to the Dean.  It is highly advised that students maintain a 2.0 major GPA for every semester over their academic career.  A student that falls below a 2.0 major GPA must meet with their academic advisor to discuss the best pathway to degree completion.
