The following degree requirements will apply to all students declaring a Mathematics major September 2013 or later. Students who declared the major prior to this date are expected to follow the major requirements as described in the catalog at the time of their entry into the College.

Students who choose to major in mathematics must complete the following:

Note:
A minimum of a C grade in MTH 231 - Calculus 1 and MTH 232 - Calculus 2 is required to continue as a Mathematics major.
A student who does not earn a C or higher in MTH 231 and/or MTH 232 may retake the course(s) to remain a degree candidate in the major. A student who does not earn a C or higher in the second attempt of MTH 231 and/or MTH 232 must meet with the Department Chair and the Advising Center to help the student choose a major that will lead to successful degree completion. If the student requires further assistance, the chair will refer the student to the Dean.
