A student who does not earn a C or higher in BIO 101 and/or BIO 102 may retake the course(s) to remain a degree candidate in the major. A student who does not earn a C or higher in the second attempt of either or both of the courses must meet with the Department Chair and the Advising Center to help the student choose a major that will lead to successful degree completion. If the student requires further assistance, the chair will refer the student to the Dean.
It is highly advised that students maintain a 2.0 major GPA for every semester over their academic career. A student that falls below a 2.0 major GPA must meet with their academic advisor to discuss the best pathway to degree completion.
