Public Health Minor

The Public Health minor offers a comprehensive foundation in the interdisciplinary field of public health. Students will gain an understanding of key concepts and issues, including the study of disease patterns, health data analysis and understanding the process of developing public policy. The curriculum also covers the social and political dimensions of health, exploring how global health policies and societal factors influence health outcomes. Additionally, students will develop skills in effective health communication and ethical considerations in health care and public health practice.

Public Health Minor
The Public Health minor is 18 credits or six courses in length. The Foundation courses are each required and students should select one course from the following areas: Statistics, Global Issues in Health, and Health Communications and Ethics.
