The MBA in Public Accounting is the graduate component of Iona’s 150-credit CPA licensure-qualifying accounting program. The objectives of the program in public accounting include the following:
- Qualify Iona’s accounting undergraduates for licensure as a CPA in New York State in accordance with the 150-credit requirement;
- Provide graduates with the broad academic exposure and preparation necessary to function as independent auditors;
- Develop in graduates the ethical and behavioral awareness appropriate for practice as a professional accountant;
- Provide graduates with the competencies and knowledge needed for success on the CPA Exam.
