EDU 825 - Special Topics in Early Intervention with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children This course will provide students with a foundation for understanding current issues facing early intervention with DHH children and their families. Through lectures, discussions, and interactive learning activities, such as a case-based activities, mock telepractice sessions, and Blackboard discussions, students will gain knowledge of and experience with assistive listening technologies, best practices for working with deaf children with multiples disabilities, medical and cultural perspectives on deafness, their roles on an interdisciplinary team, and culturally-responsive practices for vulnerable populations. Seminar Credits: 3 Offered in the Spring Semester. Instructor Consent Required
