HST 225 - Africa in the Modern World This course traces the history of Sub-Saharan Africa from the era of the slave trade to the present day. Key themes include the interaction of European and African culture as a result of the colonial experience, the independence movements, and a study of patterns of both problems and potentials in the era of independence. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ENG 120 or Honors Status Equivalent: HST 382 Offered When Needed
