MSC 431 - Television Aesthetics and Criticism This course will provide an introduction to the analysis of television modes, content and story design. Through lectures, readings and screenings, students will learn to examine and engage in television with a critical eye, and to deconstruct classic and contemporary television shows in order to recognize underlying paradigms, as well as the need for and impact of audience and advertiser appeal.
