SPA 107 - Spanish for Health Care Professions

This course is a Spanish language course intended for students of Science or Health Care careers with no-knowledge or a limited basic knowledge of Spanish. It aims to initiate the student in a Spanish Health Care work place. It aims to develop students´ language skills in Spanish. Through a wide variety of interactive activities and materials, students will develop basic grammar, oral skills, and vocabulary that they will be able to use in a clinical context. The course will help students build competence in tasks such as conducting a physical exam, interviewing patients, and taking histories. Students enrolling in this course will normally have no prior experience studying the Spanish language.
