NUR 4500 - Nursing Leadership and Synthesis This course examines leadership theory and concepts associated with nursing and healthcare, and how they are applied to the nursing profession. Current issues facing the profession and clinical practice across diverse practice settings are explored. Topics include conflict resolution, healthcare finances, legal and ethical considerations, delegation, and advocacy. Students apply and synthesize previous course content, while demonstrating accountability for understanding and preparing for the NCLEX-RN examination. Students identify individual learning needs and develop a learning contract to meet deficiencies. Content mastery testing is utilized to prepare and evaluate the student’s achievement.
