BUS 225 - The Business of Sports This is an introductory level course focusing on the business of sports. It offers a unique perspective on sports-related businesses by exposing students to specific challenges and issues facing the sport industry and its leaders in recreational, amateur and professional sport contexts. Among the topics the course will explore are the varieties of sport businesses, international sports, labor relations in sports, sports as media content, sport agency, facilities management, eSports, sport analytics, diversity/equity/inclusion in sports, online betting/gambling, and intellectual property in sports. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Sophomore Standing Offered in the Fall Semester
