HON 425 - Honors Capstone This course is an option that fulfills the culminating-experience requirement in the Honors Program. The Honors Capstone is a Liberal Arts colloquium that revisits and reflects on academic and service experiences in the Honors Program in relation to knowledge gained in students’ majors and other experiences at Iona University. Each colloquium focuses on topics selected by students with faculty input. Students will pursue mastery of fundamental skills (writing, critical reading, oral communication, expansive ways of thinking). Rigorous work may include public-facing content on the importance of the liberal arts in addressing current, pressing issues in our world. Students will be required to present their work during such events as Scholars’ Day or Presentation Day in the Spring. Seminar Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Honors Status and HON 350 Equivalents: NUR 430 , EDU 462 , EDU 466 , EDU 467 Honors Program Course
