HST 290 - Special Topics in History

These courses are designed to offer a broad survey about a historical subject not covered in depth by existing courses. These surveys are intended to introduce students to an important topic in history, and might include subjects such as “War, Culture, and Society,” “The Age of the Vikings,” “Political Violence in Latin America,” “Women and Gender in the Making of the United States,” and “The History of Slavery.” Students may take more than one special topics course. Specific topics will be indicated when they are offered.
