HST 223 - History of South Asia A survey of Indian and Southeast Asian history, religion and culture which focuses on the traditional roots and the modernization experience. The cultural and intellectual legacies in the premodern period will be highlighted for India. The impact of foreign imperialism and the development of modern societies will be emphasized for Southeast Asia. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ENG 120 or Honors Status Offered in Fall & Spring
