CS 180 - Computational Problem Solving

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer science through project-based learning over a series of hands-on, liberal-arts-oriented projects. Through a combination of lectures and projects, students will explore problem solving, algorithm design, and programming to develop a diverse portfolio of innovative solutions to interdisciplinary problems related to the Humanities, Social Sciences, and other non-STEM disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers, showcase their projects, receive feedback, and foster a dynamic learning community. Broad interdisciplinary ethical and social issues impacted by computing will be discussed.
