HW 130 - Nutrition Fundamentals for Health and Wellness This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of nutrition science as they relate to health and wellness professions. Students will explore essential areas including macronutrients, micronutrients, dietary guidelines, and the role of nutrition in disease prevention and management. Other topics include an understanding of the nutritional needs of diverse populations, practical applications of nutrition knowledge in daily life, including meal planning, dietary choices, and strategies for maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet as well as the application of evidence-based nutrition principles in allied health settings. Not open to students who have taken BIO 128 . Lecture Credits: 3 Equivalent: BIO 128 Offered in Fall & Spring
