PSY 621 - Testing and Measurement in School Psychology This course will introduce theoretical and practical approaches to the assessment of individuals, including intelligence testing and other assessments of cognitive functioning. Basic competencies in measurement, statistical interpretation, and research skills will be covered. Factors that influence test-taking, the interpretation of test scores, and other variables will be examined, with special attention to the influence of cultural and gender differences as well as the ethical issues associated with psychological tests and measurement. Basic competencies in measurement, statistical interpretation, and research skills will be covered. Students will be exposed to different assessment tools and gain hands on experience administering at least one. Lecture Credits: 3 Offered in Fall Semester
