CS 776 - Networking Fundamentals This course will introduce the student to the fundamental principles of networking. The course will emphasize the hardware, protocols and media that make local and wide area networking possible. The various networking standards will be studied with a particular emphasis on the ISO/OS Reference Model, and the application and function of each layer as it applies to networking. The terminology protocols, topology, media tpes and addressing will be studied so that the student will have the essential networking foundation to undertake advance study. Lecture 3 Credits Prerequisite: CS 500 Offered When Needed
