EDU 669 - Special Education Teaching Learners with Multiple, Low-Incidence, and Severe Disabilities This course is designed for teachers who work with students with multiple, low-incidence, and severe disabilities. The course focuses on inclusive, holistic ways of meeting the diverse needs of students by focusing on sensory-motor development, physical management in the classroom, and augmentative communication. Topics of study include working with families, assessment of issues and development of strategies, integrating health care needs, and self-care and mealtime skills. Students will participate in a 20 hour field experience within a special education setting. Lecture 3 Credits Offered When Needed
