Professional Skills and Experiences Requirement (6 credits)
The courses in this area are intended to give students tools that will allow them to use their knowledge of history to pursue activities in a variety of different fields and professions. For example, students might use knowledge from the digital humanities and public history to prepare for careers in museums or library and information science, take a course in entrepreneurship to figure out how to turn their love of history into business opportunities, choose a class in media and strategic communication studies to learn how to make historical documentaries, or pick a course in computer science to make video games with a historical theme.
