The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the NewYork-Presbyterian Iona School of Health Sciences offers the Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). This program is fully accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The graduate degree is designed for individuals with an undergraduate degree who have completed appropriate prerequisite coursework.

The purpose of this CSD degree program is to provide aspiring professionals with a firm understanding of the normal processes of speech, language, and hearing; the competence to diagnose and treat the full range of communicative disorders in all age groups; and the opportunity to practice in a wide variety of clinical settings, including schools, hospitals, clinics, special treatment centers, and private practice. The CSD degree is a professional program that emphasizes the knowledge and skills requisite to practice speech-language pathology in an effective, ethical, and inclusive manner.  Additionally, this program prepares students for application for professional credentialing in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
