HST 337 - The Immigrant Experience A comparative study of European countries, emphasizing conditions in Italy, and of the problems facing the twentieth century immigrant in the United States. The process of acculturation is examined. The course will consist of lectures supplemented by selected readings, taped interviews with immigrants, and motion pictures.
