SOW 3130 - Social Welfare Policy The purpose of this course is to help entry-level social workers understand policy formulation, implementation and analysis, and to use them as interventive strategies for social work practice. Policies of concern to the general practitioner are studied with particular attention given to the impact of such policies on the lives of women, people of various ethnic, cultural, racial and religious groups, individuals of varying sexual orientation, those who are economically disadvantaged, and those with physical or mental disabilities. Lecture Credits: 4 Prerequisite: SOW 2230 Open to all students Offered in the Spring Semester
