DS 100 - Data Science and Society This course will provide students with a foundation of data science, relate it to modern-day scientific, political, economic, and cultural institutions and communities, and enable students to use data responsibly and ethically. It will focus on techniques used to interpret, manipulate, visualize, and extract insight from data, using statistical methods and programming. Students will work with a variety of real-life data. Essential to many fields and career goals, this course will provide an important entrance to the relationship between data science and other pathways of learning. Lecture Credits: 3 Offered in Fall & Spring
