BUS 320 - Operations Management Analytics This course provides a solid foundation for understanding the operations function of a firm and its role in improving the delivery of goods and services. Analytical tools and techniques will be introduced to analyze an organization’s operations decisions and practices, and case studies will be used to illustrate the application of operations management and operations analytics in business. Students will learn about the integration of human, economic and technological factors, and associated analytics in accomplishing the operations management mission and executing the related strategies in an ethical manner. Students will use computer software tools for developing quantitative analysis of operations. Particular emphasis will be given to predictive and prescriptive analytics. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisites: BUS 150 and BUS 210 or equivalent Equivalent(s): BUS 3020 Not Liberal Arts
