NUR 411 - Nursing Care of Children This course focuses on the information, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to provide safe, high-quality care to children and families. Principles of growth and development, common pediatric acute and chronic health problems, health promotion, and injury prevention will be addressed. Issues of diversity and inclusivity will be explored within the context of the delivery of nursing care. Concepts of child- and family-centered care and anticipatory guidance will be discussed with application of these concepts to direct patient care. This course includes both didactic learning as well as exposure to pediatric patients in a variety of clinical settings. Lecture Credits: 4 Prerequisites: NUR 318 , NUR 325
