NUR 4010 - Nursing Care of Clients with Behavioral Health Needs This course investigates the role of the nurse in the application of nursing process to individuals and groups with behavioral and mental health disorders. Prevention, assessment, and nursing treatment of individuals and groups with behavioral and mental health disorders will be discussed. Emphasis is placed on assisting individuals, families, and communities with the promotion, restoration, maintenance of health and the evaluation of nursing care in those situations. This course includes both didactic/theoretical learning as well as exposure to individuals in a variety of acute and outpatient behavioral health clinical settings.
