NUR 3250 - Clinical Judgment A This course provides students with a critical foundation for translating nursing content knowledge into an observed outcome of critical thinking and decision making that is essential to safe and effective clinical practice. Students will implement the nursing process to care for adults with medical-surgical, behavioral health needs, women issues, and the childbearing family in the skills laboratory and the simulated patient care setting through an interprofessional lens. Students will apply concepts of clinical judgment, identify individual goals toward achievement, develop a plan to address learning needs and performance gaps, and demonstrate progress toward the development of clinical judgment. Evaluation tools are utilized to assess the level of performance in clinical judgment and evaluate the student’s proficiency in essential nursing skills. Students engage in interprofessional education (IPE) foundational learning modules and experiential activities designed to promote competency in interprofessional collaborative practice. Laboratory Credits: 3 Corequisites: NUR 3180 , NUR 4010 , NUR 4100 Equivalent: NUR 325 Offered in the Spring Semester
