NUR 4100 - Nursing Care of Women and the Childbearing Family This course focuses on the nursing care of women, within the context of the family, during the reproductive and child-bearing cycles. Issues and application of the nursing process related to female reproductive roles, sexuality, diversity and inclusivity, and physiological/psychological abnormalities are discussed in the context for women and their partners. Content related to conception, the child-bearing process, postpartum and newborn assessment and careNUR 3100 are included. This course includes both didactic learning as well as exposure to women and newborn patients in a variety of clinical settings.
