EDU 658 - Assessment of Language and Literacy Development from Early Childhood to Adolescence This course is designed to equip students to assess language and literacy in PreK-12 students, with a focus on English Learners (ELs) and those with dyslexia and dysgraphia. Participants will be prepared to apply assessment strategies that capture each student’s learning progress and skills accurately. Participants will also learn effective ways to communicate assessment results to students, families, and colleagues. Additionally, the course offers strategies for using insights from assessment to refine teaching approaches, aiming to differentiate for the diverse learning requirements of all students.
