CSD 570 - Development of Language and Communication in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children

This course will prepare future clinicians to understand how language and communication skills develop in deaf and hard of hearing children and how they as clinicians can help prevent language delays, stimulate language development, and provide equitable and unbiased counseling and service delivery to deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. The course covers the prevention of language deprivation, evaluation of language and communication, and appropriate therapy approaches for a diverse population of deaf and hard of hearing children.
