CS 231 - Programming in a UNIX Environment This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of the UNIX operating system and to the C programming language. Topics include UNIX command line operation, basic I/O, file systems, interprocess communication, and scripting. The course covers certain fundamental software development tools. Students learn the C programming language and use it to implement various, non-trivial, programs. Laboratory 4 Credits Prerequisite: CS 202
