Students who choose to minor in Security Threat Assessment and Terrorism Studies while completing the major in Criminal Justice must complete the following:

 BA in Criminal Justice

Major Prerequisites 03 credits
Criminal Justice Degree Core 27 credits
General Electives (used to complete Minor) 06 credits
CRJ Elective requirements 27 credits
Total credits needed for graduation 120 credits
Total credits needed to complete the major and minor 42 credits (9 credits on top of major)

Total Criminal Justice Program: 36 credits


Total for Minor Program: 15 credits


Recommendations


Students majoring in criminal justice who intend to pursue graduate study in psychology or related areas are encouraged to take PSY 323 - Quantitative Research Methods for the Behavioral Sciences 1 -PSY 324 - Quantitative Research Methods for the Behavioral Sciences 2 , and PSY 390 - Experimental Psychology 1 .

Students planning to obtain employment in the metropolitan area are encouraged to include Spanish in their program.
