HON 391 - Special Topics in Honors Special courses designed for Honors students and non-Honors students who meet the following requirements (recommended by the Chair of their major department or the faculty member teaching the course; in their third+ semester of study; and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher). These courses will be offered periodically and provide honors students with opportunities to study a variety of topics, most likely interdisciplinary, although they may be focused on a particular field. These courses may be team-taught or offered by a single-faculty member. They will emphasize reading and discussion of primary texts, development of advanced writing, oral communication skills, and critical thinking. They may include experiential learning such as field trips. These courses will fulfill elective credits toward graduation. Lecture 3 Credits Department Consent Required
