PSY 341 - Brain, Mind, and Behavior This course introduces students to the study of how the brain and the rest of the nervous system produce many common behaviors. Drawing from both human and animal literatures, this course focuses on the fundamental principles of neural structure, function, communication, organization, and development, as well as examines the neural mechanisms that underlie a host of behaviors, including sensation and perception, movement, sleep, sex, emotion, eating/drinking, learning and memory, and language. This course also explores the effects of psychoactive drugs on brain and behavior, and how certain neural processes may be disrupted in specific neurological and psychological disorders. Lecture 3 Credits Prerequisite(s): PSY 201 or permission of instructor; Not Open to Freshmen Offered in the Spring Semester
