ITA 265 - Dante’s Divine Comedy I


In this course, students will be introduced to the first part of The Divine Comedy, the inferno, as well as Dante’s early work, the Vita nuova. Dante’s minor works, such as Il Fiore, the Monarchia, and Il Convivio may be presented in order to illuminate some aspect of The Divine Comedy. This course is conducted in English and fulfills both writing and the Diversity/Cross-Cultural/Global requirement of the core curriculum.
