IS 335 - Database Management This course presents an introduction to database management. The student will study data relationships, data structures, normalization of data, data modeling, and database methods. The student will design the conceptual, logical and physical view of a specific database. The course utilizes a hands-on approach with practical problems used as theory reinforcement. In addition to homework assignments, the student will have a major project on database design which will be presented to the class. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: BUS 150 Equivalent(s): MIS 335/IDT 335 Not Liberal Arts
