HST 311 - The American West This course will consider the history of the American West from Spanish contact through to the present. The West is analyzed geographically (with ever-changing boundaries), politically, socially, culturally, racially, and economically. The primary focus of the analysis will combine primary source documents, lectures and discussion, and relevant historiographical materials. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ENG 120 or Honors Status.
